What to Expect on Monday Night’s Football Game
NFL/FFL Fantasy Football Week 5 MNF
…Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram…

At home, the New Orleans Saints (NO) taking on the Washington Redskins (WAS) at 8:15pm this Monday Night, should win, and cover the spread. The current over/under line in Vegas is 51 with NO’s giving WAS six (6) points.
I expect this to be a high scoring game. Although, Washington’s Defense could be good, given they have the talent, the rest, and two weeks to prepare – coming off their Bye week. Nonetheless, the tit-for-tat scoring nature of the assumed, and agreed upon game-script should provide for plenty of points.
In Daily Fantasy games, based on half PPR, which is what I typically base my advice on, you have to love Kamara, but he’s pricey. I much prefer Ingram for the price and upside, but be cautioned that he has two outcomes. One is a mediocre 8-10 point game. The other is a high ceiling game of around 25 points, maybe even 30 points. I suspect it’ll be the lower of the two predictions because he may be eased back into action. He was suspended for the first four weeks, and was only allowed to start practicing with the team after last week’s game. He’s healthy, but it may take time to get into game shape, like it does for all players through the preseason.

I really like Mark Ingram in actual Football because he waited at the door for the first possible moment for ghim to join the team. I love that dedication. Plus, he’s one of the better RB’s in the league, year after year. He’s a stud, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I was wrong and he ends up closer to the higher projection.
Chris Thompson is a cheaper option, but game scripted in based on the idea that New Orleans will be scoring a lot of points and Washington will have to keep up or come back, utilizing their pass catching back a lot.

Beside the known starts in this game, and Cameron Meredith stepping up nicely in the slot, his counterpart, Tre’Quan Smith might have himself a great night, like 1 TD, and 50-70 yards.
Jamison Crowder is a sneaky play too, and a mighty fine pickup in redraft, if he’s in free agency. He should have plenty of opportunities against this Defense who’s allowed every offense to pad their stats.

In redraft leagues, you probably have your starters in, like Alvin Kamara, Adrian Peterson, Drew Brees, Jordan Reed (Finally Healthy), Alex Smith (Maybe as a streamer) etc, but if you need a last minute start at Receiver or TE, you can pick up Crowder, as mentioned above, or Benjamin Watson, who is old, but could have a good game tonight, if coverage is tight elsewhere, which is unlikely. So, only start Watson if you’re desperate.
Good luck to all, except my opponents. I’m down about 14 points in my 12 team, half PPR trophy league, and I have Brees and Kamara. I should win, right?!
